The vines aren't going to hurt Havelock! They're mostly for helping Princess Tutu to catapult over things in a showy manner. If it helps, they are also covered in pink flowers. (It probably doesn't help.)

Tutu, meanwhile, continues to hold out her hand, her smile and pose steady in a way that's not quite human.
