Room 37 looks deceptively the same as it always has.

(This does not mean that it's safe to assume the wardrobe portal leads anywhere predictable.

Also, there is a new and strangely impossible-to-remove painting adorning one wall. It doesn't just look like the eyes follow people in the room - they do.)

Still, after eyeing the painting for some time, Havelock has grown bored; as he mainly assumes that if it was dangerous it would have done something already.

So saying, he has availed himself of a shower (Ankh-Morpork is his home, but it is lacking in some areas) and settled down with a book, impervious to any sort of sinister atmosphere.

If the portrait had the ability, it would be pouting.

"Shh," Havelock reminds him.

"Just checking you were still here."

Instead of off cavorting with eggshells.

Or... whatever goes on in his mind when that happens.

Puck smiles.

(His lashes may dip fractionally when Havelock shushes him. He makes no apologies.)

He turns his head to nip lightly at Havelock's fingertips.

Well, that's an improvement on the last round of biting, at least.

Havelock traces Puck's lower lip thoughtfully, and makes no attempt to remove his fingers from reach.

Puck makes a soft, pleased sound low in his throat.

He can work up some more aggressive biting for you in a little bit, Havelock.

Havelock gives in and rolls over onto his side in order to lean down and kiss Puck properly.

Clealy he needs a distraction from the thrall of... the ceiling.

Puck returns the kiss with lazy contentment, shifting to angle closer to Havelock.

He'll be the first to admit it:

Havelock may be a terrible person and at times downright sadistic significant other.

But he is very distracting.
